Welcome to Green Rinjani Trekking, the leading eco-trekking company based in Senaru, Lombok. Since 2011, we’ve been dedicated not only to organizing exceptional treks to Mount Rinjani—Indonesia’s second-highest volcano—but also to protecting its trails, empowering local communities, and offering authentic cultural experiences.

Now in our 14th year, Green Rinjani continues to grow as a symbol of responsible adventure and deep environmental respect. We are proud to be more than a travel company—we are a movement for positive impact in one of the most beautiful regions on Earth.

Who We Are

Green Rinjani is a locally owned and operated company, founded by Karyadi (Ary), a native of Senaru Village. Inspired by the beauty of Mount Rinjani and concerned by the effects of mass tourism, Ary established Green Rinjani with a mission:

To create sustainable trekking experiences that protect nature, empower locals, and connect travelers to the heart of Lombok.

Our Story – A Journey of Passion, Resilience, and Purpose

Hello, I’m Ary. I was born in Senaru, a peaceful village at the foot of Mount Rinjani. Growing up surrounded by rice terraces, waterfalls, and the towering volcano, I developed a deep connection with nature—and a dream to share it with others in a responsible way.”

In 2011, I founded Green Rinjani Tour & Travel with one goal in mind: to offer authentic, sustainable trekking experiences that not only bring joy to travelers but also benefit local communities and protect the environment we call home.

Our Small Guesthouse – Built with Love, Rebuilt with Strength

In April 2018, we proudly opened a small, simple accommodation near our office in Senaru to welcome Green Rinjani guests before their trek. The idea was to give travelers a peaceful place to rest before beginning the climb—and to make everything more convenient and comfortable.

But just a few months later, in August 2018, a powerful earthquake struck Lombok. Our village was badly hit. Our guesthouse and office were severely damaged, and we had to pause everything. It was a heartbreaking moment.

With the support of our team, our guests, and our own determination, we started to rebuild. By 2020, we fully renovated the guesthouse, and today it stands stronger than ever—ready to host our trekking guests again.
Now, every traveler who books a Rinjani package with Green Rinjani can stay with us the night before the trek, enjoy free breakfast, and start their journey well-rested and supported.
