Green Rinjani Help Center & Trekking Information
Welcome to the Green Rinjani Help Center, your official and verified source for Mount Rinjani trekking. We also offer Lombok private transport and selected adventure journeys across Indonesia.
This page is created to support you throughout your entire journey. It covers from your very first inquiry and planning stage. Additionally, it supports your final descent from the mountain and onward travel to your next destination.
Here, you will find all essential information in one centralized place. This includes Mount Rinjani trekking programs and private transfers across Lombok. It also covers pre-trek accommodation in Senaru Village, Lombok day tours, Komodo boat trips, Wae Rebo cultural journeys, and Mount Kerinci expeditions.
Every article, guide, and detail published in the Green Rinjani Help Center is based entirely on what we personally organize, operate, and manage for our guests. Nothing here is copied, adapted, or borrowed from other operators. All information reflects real field operations and verified logistics. Moreover, it covers services that we actively deliver.
At Green Rinjani, we take pride in transparency and originality. All content is written by our own team and grounded in hands-on experience. It is based on daily operational practice and continuously updated information from the field. This approach ensures that everything we publish is something we can genuinely provide — exactly as explained.
We strongly believe that each trekking company should represent its own capabilities honestly. Companies should avoid imitating popular programs or standard operating procedures without the capacity to perform them properly. Unfortunately, this practice still exists in the industry. That is why we stand firmly by our principles: authentic service, clear communication, and full responsibility for everything we offer.
By choosing Green Rinjani, you are choosing an original local operator — not an imitator — with a genuine commitment to safety, service quality, and guest satisfaction.

Eco & Community Commitment
At Green Rinjani, trekking is not only about reaching a summit. It is about protecting nature, respecting local communities, and practicing responsible tourism at every stage of the journey.
As a locally owned and operated company based in Senaru Village, we understand that Mount Rinjani is more than a trekking destination. It is a living environment, a cultural landscape, and a source of livelihood for many local families. Because of this, our operations are built around long-term responsibility rather than short-term profit.
Green Rinjani is officially recognized by the Mount Rinjani National Park Authority for its commitment to trekking safety, environmental protection, waste reduction, and fair local employment practices. These recognitions reflect how we operate in the field, not just what we communicate online.
Sustainability Programs
Tree Planting Program
During specific seasons, guests trekking with Green Rinjani are invited to participate in tree planting activities using native species. This program supports forest restoration, helps prevent erosion, and contributes to the long-term health of Mount Rinjani’s ecosystem.
Mountain Clean-Up Program
Throughout the trekking season, our team regularly collects waste along trekking routes and camping areas. Guides and porters are instructed to carry down not only the waste generated by our group, but also trash left behind by others whenever possible.
Local Empowerment
One hundred percent of our trekking guides and porters come from local villages around Mount Rinjani, especially Senaru and Sembalun. We provide fair wages, proper equipment, and continuous on-the-job training to ensure safe working conditions and professional growth.
By trekking with Green Rinjani, you directly support responsible tourism practices that help preserve Mount Rinjani’s natural beauty while strengthening the local communities that protect it.
Accommodation Before the Trek
Before starting your Mount Rinjani trek, all guests stay overnight at Green Rinjani Guest House in Senaru Village, located just minutes from the entrance of Mount Rinjani National Park.
Staying in Senaru before the trek allows guests to rest properly, adjust to the cooler mountain climate, and prepare physically and mentally for the hike. This pre-trek stay is an important part of our trekking system and is strongly recommended for all participants.
Facilities at Green Rinjani Guest House include private rooms with attached bathrooms, comfortable bedding, and a quiet mountain environment suitable for rest and recovery. Hot showers are available to help guests relax after travel.
Meals are served at the Green Rinjani Restaurant, offering both Indonesian and Western menu options. Dinner is provided on the evening before the trek, followed by a detailed briefing conducted by your guide or Green Rinjani staff. During this briefing, we explain the trekking itinerary, safety procedures, equipment use, and what to expect on the trail.
Arriving in Senaru early also gives guests the opportunity to explore nearby attractions such as Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep Waterfalls, located within walking distance from the guest house. These visits are optional and depend on arrival time and guest preference.
A night in Senaru ensures that you begin your trek well-rested, well-informed, and fully prepared for the journey ahead.

The journey to Senaru Village (601 meters above sea level) takes approximately 2.5 to 4 hours, depending on your starting point. Along the way, you will pass rice fields, traditional villages, and scenic foothills of Mount Rinjani — offering a first glimpse of Lombok’s natural landscape.
